This is my favorite time of the year, March.

The skies are bright blue, the grass and trees are so green, all the flowers are so beautiful and the weather is perfect.

I remind myself how lucky we are to live in such a colorful state.

I found myself traveling during this winter season to different much colder places and as much as I love traveling and the new experiences, it lacks one important thing for me, color! Maybe I notice this more than your average because of my profession. I'm always looking for that natural beautiful light and color for my photographs.

Traveling to these winter states I feel like I go back in time. Like I am in a black and white movie. The trees and grass are all brown and the skies are grey. When I return home, it's like the Wizard of Oz, color just opens up. Welcome back to Miami!

I also love March because my garden is in full bloom. Its filled with tomatoes, greens and sweet smelling herbs. This is a great distraction for me when days are long editing in my office. It's a break that I love and need. There is so much satisfaction picking, cooking and eating food that you grew.

So March is a pretty good month for playing outside. It's a good time to enjoy the little and big things. It's a good time to photograph your family, friends or a pretty flower. It's also a great time to enjoy your garden.
