I thought it would be a good idea to introduce ourselves to the parents of Playtime Candids.  My name is Miranda, owner and creator of this company. I'm pictured here on the left. This photo was taken of me in Wynwood, one of my favorite places to photograph. I just love all the creative, artistic energy this neighborhood has.

I've been photographing children professionally for almost 30 years now. I would practice endlessly on my four children as they were growing up. My passion quickly turned into a life long career that I absolutely love.

Creating this company came to me one day as I was substitute teaching at a local preschool in my neighborhood. I brought my camera and photographed the kids on the playground, the parents loved them! They would ask me if I was coming back, they wanted more.

The light bulb went off and so did I.

As PTC grows, I knew I had to reach out for help. It wasn't easy to let go of the creative side but My new photographer, Cynthia, puts me at ease with her beautiful photographs. Here is a little something about her.

I was born in Lima-Peru, always enjoyed mixing creativity, sense of humor, vision, feelings and communication skills to express myself through art .

I moved to the US in 2001 and started to raise a family and at the same time, always taking out my pocket camera. The one responsible for capturing memorable moments in reunions was usually me. One day, just for fun, I did a photo shoot for a friend who wanted some pregnancy photos. She told me that I was losing money by not doing it professionally.

Thats when I ventured to buy my first "real camera", what's the worst that could happen?! - I thought. Since then my hobby became an important part of my life and career. My profession doesn't feel like a job to me. I find pleasure and happiness every time I press the shutter.
