Happy 2017
The mad rush is finally over and you can now breathe, its time for the new beginning.
What is your plan? How do you like to start the new year? I always like to start by organizing my closet, my office and those drawers around the house that seems to collect everything!!! I always feel so much better when this task is done. Im also very surprise in the things I find that I forgot I had. Those surprises can turn this chore into hours of "going down memory lane" especially if you come across an old box of photos.
Coming across old box of photos or photo albums is becoming a real thing of the past. There is a whole generation out there that probably don't have many real photos in hand.Everything is documented in some form of social media or on the computer. I admit, I am one to do this as well. My collection of photographs of my kids when they were small is huge, crazy, overflowing! Now as they are adult, I might be able to count how many real photographs I actually have of them. I'm a photographer, this shouldn't be. This is like the shoe cobblers kids with no shoes on their feet.
Heres the question that always concerns everyone, is your photos backed up? I have so many photos on my computer its crazy! Even if they are backed up, is it the same as breaking out a box of photos and everyone gathering around to see them. There is something special about that moment in sharing old memories.
I think I just came up with my New Years Resolution while writing this blog. I promise to print more photos and actually make new albums to create memories that I can touch and share around the kitchen table in years to come.
To New Beginnings and keeping the old!
M.
